“If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from that person’s angle as well as from your own.“
Henry Ford
Every counsellor works differently. The relationship between counsellor and clients is crucial. The work can be less effective without a good relationship. The most important thing is that you find someone with whom you are able to feel comfortable enough to share your difficulties, thoughts and feelings.
My name is Wendy Churchill and I have always been drawn to working with people in ways that depend on understanding and empathy.
That, coupled with a fascination for understanding the dynamics of relationships, has drawn me naturally towards the work I have been involved with and my role now as a couples counsellor.
Alongside my private practice I currently work as a Relationship Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist for Relate Avon, which is part of the UK’s largest provider of relationship counselling and sex therapy.
I am a registered member of both British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
I am also a mum to two teenage children, and I get great pleasure in being out in nature walking our dog with my husband.
